dancing_moonToday there were a lot of meetings at work. I wasn't in any of them, but this meant I had sole ownership of the office* and thus I played music. Loudly.
I have realized that, while Die Ärzte musically have pretty much only gotten better and better, the sheer freaky squickness of some early songs haven't been trumped for, what, 20 years?
Prime example one is of course Omaboy, a d-i-s-g-u-s-t-i-n-g song. All the more so becauseFarin Bela manages to sing this squicky theme (about a guy who desires old people. Really old) with such sensuality
There's also Schlaflied, about a monster under the bed. Describes in loving fashion how the kid in bed is eaten, piece by piece... And wonderful (er) things like Madonnas dickdarm (Madonna's Colon) which is less disgusting than plain weird.
Geschwisterliebe (Sibling Love) and Claudia hat 'n Schäferhund (Claudia has a German Shepherd) got them on the index for youth-threatening songs, but strangely enough they don't squick me half as much. Incest and bestiality? Meh, I've been on the internet too long for that to phase me.

Possibly you could say "in solitary dominion" or something? (Is that even correct English? Now I'm uncertain.) I don't think "trona" exists as a transitive verb in English, sadly.

So: Grace Kelly is dead, but Buddy Holly's glasses are still alive
I'm planning to make karaoke of a few of them, some day... fitting Halloween songs if nothing else ;)
