dancing_moon: My books: Never enough shelf space (books)

I'm going to move soon and I need to clear out some books. This is mostly stuff I've read and don't like enough to re-read and a few multiple copies

If you live far away from Stockholm, Sweden and want something, you can either pay postage or ask someone to grab it for you.

ETA: More books added!

Urban fantasy by Thomas E Sniegoski - A Kiss before the apocalypse (paperback) and Where angels fear to thread (pre-published reader's copy, beige paperback on crappy paper).
This is part one and two of a urban fantasy detective series about an angel living on earth. It's pretty decent, actually, for being urban fantasy. Amazon on the books.
I read a short story by Sniegosi, bought book one and got book two from work.
Giving these away for free

Terry Pratchett - Maskerade, Pratchett riffs on the Phantom of the Opera. Very funny book, pretty free-standing Pratchett (it's about the witches, but this is basically the book where Agnes "Perdita X" Nitt joins them) so it's a good place to jump in.
Worn mass-market paperback, US edition. Free to a good home because I found a hardback copy \o/

Susanna Clarke - Ladies of Grace Adieu, trade paperback (the red cover) of her short-story collection. Set in the same universe as the marvelous, amazing, lovely Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. These are good fairy tales and magical pastisches of Dickens/Austen style, lovely little reads.
Giving it away because I couldn't resist to buy the gorgeous hardback when we got it in for the book sale... Yes, yes, I do judge a book by its cover, sometimes

Also a book about Neil Gaiman called Prince of Stories, it was too much rehashing what he's written (of which I own most things) and too little analysis. But an interesting read, in nice only-read-once condition. Free to a good home

Eoin Colfer's And another thing... the sequel to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Mass-market paperback, so not worth it's 79 SEK but if someone is curious and wants to give it a read (or if you're a big Colfer fan, I guess) it's not actually bad. Just not what I wanted

Jean M Auel - The shelters of stone AND it's Swedish translation, Nionde Grottan. Both mom and I bought these, yeah, I know, I know...
The latest part in the ice-age porn and scout's survival guide series. Nothing much happens, but at least they're not traveling over the steppe anymore.
Proper hardcovers, free, in good condition.

Richard Morgan: The Takeshi Kovacs trilogy (Altered Carbon, Broken Angels, Woken Furies) and Black Man. Trade paperbacks, 50 SEK for the lot. Or if you're a friend, give me food some time
Hard-boiled noir sf thrillers, pretty good. I'm keeping Market Forces which was my favorite and I would have kept these too if they were smaller. In pretty good shape too

Tanith Lee - Piratica, swashbuckling YA novel with a girl main character. Free to a good home, funny and entertaining book

Naomi Novik - His Majesty's Dragon, Throne of Jade, Black Powder War and Victory of Eagels. That is, the Temeraire-series parts 1-3 and 5 in mass market paperback. Why am I giving them away?
Because I bought the others as hardbacks. Can't find Empire of Ivory (book 4) like that, so I'm keeping the paperback. 50 SEK for the lot or free to a good home, I don't really care. If it's a hassle to get them to you, pay me a bit for that ;)
But they're really fun and entertaining books, nicely fannish too. And hey, dragons in the age of Napoleon!

Guy Gavriel Kay - The Lions of Al-Rassan. Er. Uhm. You get this if you want it, because I really should get rid of a LOT of books. But otoh I adore GG Kay, soo it's free to a loving home (and slightly scrunched around the corners) because if I give it away, I get to keep my copies of A Song for Arbonne and the Fionavar tapestry... Arabic/Spanish flavored fantasy in the time of the Reconquista. Trade paperback.

Neil Gaiman - Anansi Boys, REALLY REALLY AWESOME GOOD BOOK! I got a trade paperback cover from a friend, but I already own the hardcover. Can't bear to throw it away... Very much free to anyone who wants to read him =) In good condition.

More to come, as I clean up and slowly start packing!

Oh, and if I've ever promised you books or manga, now is the time to remind me, or they might be thrown away.

If someone hasn't read Anansi Boys they can take it, but otherwise, my copy got lent out to someone and never came back home, so I'd love to have a copy of it. I'll be in Stockholm at some point next weekend, I'm pretty sure...
